Hi
Completely new to Linux and already in love!
I'm a Windows Admin and discovered Ubuntu not long ago (and I simply love it... but the wife isn't too happy
).
A basic question:
SID's are a clever idea (which I'm sure, as always, M$ weren't the first to think of) which prevents computers in a network from being "silently" replaced by malicious ones.
Does Linux impose such a technique? Meaning, is there another way of identifying a Linux machine other then it's hostname or IP?
