Linux Puppy, external monitor: cannot maximized window to utilie full desktop area

Linux Puppy, external monitor: cannot maximize app windows to utilize full desktop area.

Very new to Linux. Puppy on my Compaq Mini netbook. I've connected an external monitor. Xorg Video Wizard option to set up the monitor resolution to 1280x1024. Using this resolution, Puppy icons on the desktop can utilize the whole area but open window (e.g browser) cannot, even 'full screen'. The alternative so far has been to let Xorg guess: this gives me 1024x600, full screen coverage but with aliased text and lower definition. Any tips?

you know there is a few different types of Compaq Mini netbook just a few? you will need to tweak the xorgwizard. but the truth I would use the vesa driver.
you may have better luck with it. I always use that when having issues. you have any Ideas how many versions of puppy linux there are?
I run slacko 5.7 and pup percice 7.1

The solution is that when the browser window is dragged away from being anchored in the top left corner, then it can be resized to practically the whole screen. Those handles weren't present to begin with. Your 'macho' reply wasn't very helpful but thanks all the same.

And I hope you figure out that the little button top left of the rox file manager has a few options. and right click the top the rox file manager bar.
if you feel this is a bug in Slacko puppy linux drop a note to the head of the project in here.
