Linux problems
I have a number of problems, first, i can't seem to be able to get fedora to install, two, when i finish installing slackware it wont boot without the disk and i cant get it to go into gui mode, and last, every time i install mandrake my mouse never works (and i do install it correctly) and the icons and task bar go off screen and i can't fix it. Any help would be appreciated (I've been searching google and still can't find any help).

Thanks in advance

I can speak for Slackware. I had the problem with booting once. I just booted to using the floppy and ran lilo and that fixed it. The problem I had was that lilo got messed up somehow.

When you first boot to Slackware you need to configure X. If I remember right (only got 1 PC running X) the command to do it xorgconfig. It is a test based config tool. All you need to know is what agp card you have and the horizonal and vertical refresh rate for you monitor. Once you do that you can type startx to ster the GUI.
