sir i am getting some error
My linux release 3.(red hat)


$xhost +
Xlib: connection to "spidummy:0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified

xhost: unable to open display
"spidummy:0.0"

Red Hat 3? Wow, talk about blast from the past! Anyways, how to you expect us to help you without telling us anything about what your doing. All I can tell you is that this error is caused by trying use an xserver you do not have access to (possibly as root?).

sir i am trying to install oracle software on my linux box.

for oracle installation i have to run "runinstaller" file on terminal;
but when i am trying to run those file i go error.

xlib : no protocol specified.
i am connect as oracle user not in root.

You will need to grant access to the xsession for the user(and machine?) running oracle.

then google around for a bit for XAuthority.

also, running 'xhost +' is a HUGE security whole, FYI.

but when i give as root user or as oracle user
in both user i got "xlib : no protocol specified".

Don't use xhost or you will open up your network to any 12 year old with a hacking tutorial. You will need a much more indepth approach, thus Xauthority (also search for Xauth). There are many howtos on this topic. I would start by reading the one I gave you.
