linux on a PDA

I have a Toshiba e740 and have been tasked with putting Linux on it. I haven't found a HOWTO for it. I found some site where this guy started working on Toshiba PDAs and I emailed him. No response.

My question is: What would the first steps be in porting Linux to this PDA? What would you do first?
I have no idea where to even start.

Thanks!

First would be finding out as much as you can about the hardware and how much of it is supported by Linux.

Next would be deciding if you're going to use an existing distro and adapt it to your needs or just start over from scratch.

You might want to ask for help on the OESF forums, as there's people there who've made or are running Linux on PDAs.

This site looks familiar. I don't know why I didn't see all those links before. This is going to suck. I was planning on doing too much hardware stuff. lol. I guess I should have been.

What does debricking actually do?
Holy cow.

I got in touch with the guy who did it and he hasn't finished it up. He asked for more motivation, if any of you are interested.
