Linux OEM laptop/desktop

Hi, I am planning on chuking windows in the next couple of months. For a smooth landing, I am looking around for a vendor which could supply a fully supported linux system and who would supply to European markets.

I know puget systems do this for the Americans and Dell for for French markets.

Can anyone help for the UK Irish markets

Or am i going to have purchase a windows system and replace the os with linux voiding the vendor support

Dell being a global company will supply PCs all over the place. Ireland being part of the EU are as covered as any other European company.

You can purchase a Linux system (ubuntu) from Dell. All the support you need is available via the WWW, which is a far greater knowledge base than any 1 vendor can offer. As for hardware to use with Linux, perhaps you can find a suitable vendor in this list: http://www.linux.ie/vendors/hardware.php You might also consider joining your local Linux User Group.
