Linux Multiseat - Getting Started

I currently run Ubuntu Desktop 10.04 on a Dell desktop with an Intel dual core, 1.86 Mz CPU, and 2 GB of RAM.

I want to prototype a multiseat setup. Will I need to load Ubuntu Server or can I do this with my current Ubuntu version? Is there a reliable website or documentation source that anyone can recommend. I've read through a number of websites but would like some recommendations.

This seems a reasonably sound guide to it. If you google for linux multiseat then you get lots of seemingly good results - this was just one that seemed quite simple and you shouldn't need to install server or anything - a multiseat is just lots of monitors+input devices connected to one computer, as I understand it

Snark, you win again! I was about to say the same thing. Googling came up with a LOT of information.... And yes snark, that is pretty much what it is. I have done it once before. It's pretty cool when you are intoxicated and showing off to your friends LOL
