i already have arabic fonts .. i can read and write in arabic from mozilla and konqueror .. but some softwarez like gaim won't let me read and write
You guys should look at amsn (amsn.sourceforge.net) which comes closest to cloning the real thing. There are rpm's for redhat as well (8.0). Better than gaim at least....(ok go ahead flame me )
Ever tried Red-Carpet? it's a program installer and most of the time it finds the dependences for you and installs them ... This program takes all the work out of it.... Very Nice!
I have a little question about Gaim.
I am behind a firewall and can only use some port. Can Gaim works with the port 80?
And if yes, how can I configure it...
Hey all, I was just installing amsn and iwas going step by step, I installed the few packages that you need and then i typed the ./configure command and i get a error saying there is no directory of that name. Not sure what i am missing but it doesn't wanna work. Any help you be appreicated.
thanks
Well with amsn once you do the tar -xzvf <filename>.tar.gz you can go into the directory "msn" and type ./amsn to run the program. That should work, if it doesn't try typing "wish amsn" if that doesn't work then you have to install the tcl/tk interpreter.
I have downloaded the rpm for gaim, but the package installer tells me that are missing some files, what should I do. where I can get a rpm with all the files??
I downloaded from gaim.sourceforge.net
plz sorry for this incovenience, but i'm a new user...
