Linux Mint iTunes equivalent, just to copy songs to device

Is there an iTunes equivalent for Linux Mint out there?
I'm digitizing my CD collection, and want to put them all on an old iPhone to use solely as an MP3 player. But I don't want Apple's grubby hands all over it

Mint usually comes with Banshee. Does it recognize your iPod? From a quick search it appears as if it would work.
