Linux Mint - Issues with GT610/NVIDIA
Hey everyone, I had a question on my Linux Mint installation. I have Windows 10 and wanted to set up a dual-boot to Linux Mint. I have an i7 processor with two GT610 video cards and four monitors.

After installing Linux Mint, I booted to a black screen. I read solutions online, and modified the boot command with

nomodeset --
. This solved the problem somewhat because I was able to open Mint and view the various NVIDIA drivers.

I installed the recommended driver and had no success. The screen just shows black. I use

nonodeset --
once again, and was able to again boot up with the generic driver, but only two monitors worked.

I've tried reinstalling Mint several times and have tried every NVIDIA driver that is listed, but I have the same problems every time. :(

I'm confused and I don't know what is going wrong. Before Windows 10, I did a clean install and Mint worked perfectly. I'm stuck with the dual boot because I need Windows for work, so sadly I can't just uninstall it. I have to dual boot.

Is there something I'm missing? I'm really at a loss as to what's going on!

"driver that is listed" means Driver Manager?

What version of Mint?
terminal >

inxi -Sxx
output please.

Check out this webpage and pay particular attention to "blacklist nouveau" and "configuration."
I think this driver can then be installed, once all others are uninstalled.
Best wishes and don't give up yet!
