Smile linux mint


Idownloaded linux mint on to a sandisk cruzer pen drive and when i tried to install it I couldn't boot to the pendrive what am i doing wrogn?

Did you just copy the ISO file to the USB stick? Or you did something like dd, or used Unetbootin?

thanks for your reply i copied the iso file to pendrive.

You can't just copy an .iso to a drive. An .iso is an image that must be written to the drive or disk using a disk writing utility.

Move the Mint iso file to your hard drive then go to the web site for unetbootin or pendrivelinux and download either. Make sure you get the correct version, Linux, windows, Mac. Read the instructions on how to create a bootable flash drive on the site.
