Linux Mint 10 installation problem
In trying to install Linux Mint 10 from a CD, I get as far as the "Ready when you are..." message and the file copying process is halted at about 90%. I have used the Control Panel to make a source and destination correct. If I inspect the messages on the Install screen, it shows that most files were installed correctly, but there is an indication that processes are still incomplete. Is there a command that should be entered at this command line?

For what it's worth, when I installed Mint 10, I did not encounter anything like that. It installed smoothly.
If you verified the MD5sum before you burned the CD, I would suggest trying another CD blank. If not, try checking the MD5sum. |

Linux installation problem
I found hat my CMOS was not holding the selections made for the boot device. I have a system which expects a SATA hard drive and will not accept changes without it. I am using Linux Mint 12 live right now. I will let you know what transpires after the installation attempt when the SATA drive is installed. I have not been successful booting from a USB thumb drive or an external USB hard drive yet. Thx for your reply.
