Linux Mandrake 9.1 general help

I was finally able to get my Compaq(HP) Presario 906US laptop to dual boot WinXP and Mandrake 9.1. I'm completely new to linux and this feels like a whole other world. I'm looking to see if there are any sites that tell you what the different commands are and what they do. I hope to learn how to use linux enough to be able to play with different distros and eventually replace windows all together. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
