Any body know where I can find a linux live chat community?

Hello and welcome to the forum

I think the chat communities tend to be based (or focused) upon the individual projects, although I did find this one. Other members might know of additional sites.

Have you looked at IRC?

I've discovered that I'm not an IRC kind of guy, but lots of Linux users seem to hang out in various IRC channels at Freenode.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what Freenode (IRC) is.
