Linux ISO downloads always fail at a point after 400MB

I'm completely unable to download Linux ISOs using Windows or Linux (I dual boot WinXP Home and Linux Mint). Yet I am able to download using wireless, which is currently not working (reason unknown) on my laptop. The wireless modem is connected to the same DSL line where the transfers fail at some point after 400MB.

It seems obvious that this is a router issue - it's not my ISP or anything to do with Linux or Windows or Firefox. (Downloads also fail with IE7 in Windows.)

When I check the router setup GUI, I don't see anything that appears to place a cap on downloads by size or duration. So I'm stumped. Most annoying to have to order all ISOs and wait... I'd be grateful for suggestions.

Have you tried using BitTorrent to download your Linux ISOs?

edit: Plus the great thing about BitTorrent is that if your connection drops and comes back, you can resume downloading from the point you were at before

If you believe it is a router issue, have you checked for updated or alternate firmware for your router ?

The other thing to try in the meantime is to download with wget, an dif that fails, continue with "wget -c"

I'll second that BitTorrent suggestion. Very large file downloads don't work for me either at home or at work either by FTP or by HTTP. I've never gotten any good indication of why it doesn't work. But large file downloads work fine (at home or at work) via BitTorrent.
