cdrecord will do it I think, but I'm using the GUI program k3b when I do it. I think it may use cdrecord underneath perhaps, but it's a lot easier than working out cdrecord's command line options.

I could NEVER successfully make a CD/CVD of FCx under windows

I could NEVER successfully make a CD/DVD of FCx under MS Windows.

BTW NEVER BUY Roxio

I may try Nero under windows

burn CDs under scsi : here CD for Fedora Core 5 is being made
cdrecord dev=ATA:1,0,0 padsize=63s -pad -dao -v -eject FC-5-i386-disc4.iso
Fedora Core 6 DVD
cdrecord dev=ATA:1,0,0 padsize=63s -pad -dao -v -eject FC-6-i386-DVD.iso

there is a command to identify CDs/DVD units...I have it somewhere
