Though I'm not best person yet to give advice since being so new into Linux-world (and more serious side of computer-world in general)...

That being said, you should give more details so that people can really help you if you have an issue.

As it is, your question isn't specified enough. For example: Do you want to install it as a dualboot system or do you want to run linux inside virtual box in Windows. And so on.

If you come up with more details and have a problem I let someone with more experience help you, but just by sticking to some official distribution and reading manual/installation guide and what have you will take you long way. Many official distributions come with graphical installation option which I used when I installed my first Linux OS last month.

When you say "Linux in Windows 10, are you referring to running Linux with windows, Linux in virtual software or the bash thing explained at the link below at microsoft's site.

Running a few open source commands in Windows 10 isn't Linux.

You could try running Virtual Box in Windows (free of charge) to allow you to run Linux in a Virtual Machine, which allows you to do nearly everything.
This kind of VM will be a bit slow, compared to a "bare metal" version.

Alternatively, you could download a live distro, boot from DVD or USB and run it in main memory - it won't write to disk (unless you take a few special steps).
