linux installation

ok here's my problem,
i have an old compaq presario 1235
with amd k6 262.4 mhz
32mb of ram

and i want to install mandrakelinux 10.1 on it
is it possible ?

Welcome to LQ.

It should be possible but I wouldn't try to run any heavy weight desktop environments.

yes you should be able to, though if its your first experience with linux then you are not doing it justice as it will be slow moving.
