linux install using under 400mb

i want to know what linux(s) would load onto a 400mb hd from an old 486. note that i have connected it to a piii 1ghz 512 ram

damn small linux would probably work fine.

There is also Puppy Linux which uses KDE I think...thats only 55 mb.

you could also use the LiveCD of damn small linux. That wont use any of your diskspace at all

well I guess at that rate you can use any live CD. And if your skilled you don't even have to go into Graphical mode

p.s. let's face it. I'm not that skilled, but it sounds nice
