Linux install - 2nd SATA HDD
Hi Folks
I have a WIN Xp system with 2 160Gb hdds WIN XP is on the 1st PATA HDD and the 2nd Drive is currently blank.
I have had issues before (long time ago) with linux and large HDD and the position of Partitions etc which caused heaps of MBR issues. Is this still the case or are the bootloaders much better at sorting themselves out?
I would have moved my XP system to the SATA but each time I did this I had problems with linked directories not working so I'm stuck with XP on PATA and SATA as the secondary HDD
Any help appreciated - Also haven't decided on a distro yet any suggestions?
Sorry if this has already been posted
Cheers
Bruce
