Linux in LAN
hi ,
I am a newbie in the Linux Networking. I am introducing Linux machines to my LAN with Windows2003 domain. I am able to browse the shared files in this linux machine from other windows and linux machines. But from the linux machine i am not able to login to the domain server and so i am not able to access other windows machines. I installed Samba and is able to access the windows shared folders from Samba Client. Do i need more installations? Can any one help me overcome this situation? Thanks in advance, bij |
You need to use winbindd and pam with samba. linux magazine has a nice artical on how to do it.
http://www.linux-mag.com/content/view/130/2200 You might have to register with the site to view the artical. Linux magazine has a lot of useful articals. Jeremy also contributes articals to them. I made a short and sweet how to, but a lightning stike took out my internet connection so my server is down for a day or so. |
