Linux hate me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am new to Linux, just got it running today, am now running Red Hat 7.2 on a P200 MHz with 32 MB of RAM(Is it Work ?). Anyways, I installed it fine, with KDE and the Gnome desktop environment. Now, being a total nOOb, I just assumed that X would be configured correctly. Well, I got an error when I typed in "StartX" so I configured it with xf86config. Now I get this error message when I try to run X:
------------------------------------------ Config Error: /usr/X11R6/lib/XF86Config: 48 subsection "extmod" Module section keyword expected giving up xinit: Connection refused(errno 111): unable to connect to X server Xinit: no such process(errno 3):Server error |
What hardware are you using ? Have you checked its compatiblity ? Try running Xconfigurator ! Search this site, this question is asked all the time.

Only XFree86-3.36 supports Trio64 http://xfree86.org/4.0.2/Status28.html#28
|
To get XFree86 3.3.6 you'll have to use Red Hat 6.2 instead as Red Hat 6.2 uses XFree86 3.3.6
|
