Linux Domain Server

Can anyone recommend a book, thread or site that will teach me more about setup, configuring and managing a Linux Server?

I installed Fedora 16 KDE on an old Dell GX260, which I would like to serve as domain controller. The client machines will be a Toshiba laptop and old eMachine (both running Ubuntu 11.10 with Unity Desktop). I would like the Fedora server to hold a roaming profile for 4 users and for the time being, store the users home directory. I have a NAS server which I would like incorporate at later date for the users home directory and shared media files but for now want to keep it simple. Each of the 4 users will share the 2 Ubuntu Machines.

I found a lot of reference material on Samba but since I do not have any Windows machines is that necessary?

This LDAP how-to would be a good starting point.

A Windows client would be useful at some point, when you are ready to test compatibility, but shouldn't be necessary to start learning.

Looks like good start, thank you for sharing. Once an LDAP server is setup will have setup do client machines have to mount the (in Windows Terms) the share folder as a drive when they start before I can store their home directory on that server? Or can this be achieved with a login script set to run when a user provides credentials stored on the LDAP server?

Once I have the NAS device loaded with all of my media, (which is currently stored on a Windows XP box)I want the ability to access it from my work laptop running Windows 7. However I've only been working with Linux for 6 month so right now I'm trying not to become overwhelmed.
