Linux distros will not boot
I have taken windows off my hard drive....ive tried installing Linux kde and gnome distros....none of them will boot. I have an asus uefi mother board. can someone walk me through the process.

For starters you have to disable UEFI if you want to install Most Linux Distributions. This option will be in your bios.

Also, check the BIOS/UEFO settings to make sure that the optical drive (if that's what you want to use) is set to boot before the hard drive.
