Really? I have UEFI hardware on two computers and successfully installed Arch on both. What issues have you encountered?

The install process just did not work as documented. Arch has some of the best documentation in the industry so I was surprised the boot loader install docs for UEFI were so confusing (to me). The actual UEFI grub install procedure failed multiple times for me so I gave up.

I have the other parts of the Arch install practically memorized so they were not the problem.

It's not a big deal, I stopped using Linux (for other reasons) last year and have switched entirely to FreeBSD. Arch was always my favorite distro though - at least I use Black Arch in a VM on my FreeBSD host

Interesting. What made you switch to FreeBSD. I know one appeal is how barebones the OS is.

Not going to digress too much or I'll be more off-topic but mainly systemd, plus the lack of standardization the way things are done. Barebones or lightness was not a factor because I have plenty of resources. Simplicity was a factor though and managing this install is dead simple, plus the virtual separation of core OS and user installed software has won me over.

'Nuff said!
