Linux Debian - Secure Guest Access?

I tried looking through Google but it only returned results that seemed to match what I am looking for from 3-9 years back. I wanted to be sure what is out there is still secure and relevant.

I would like some sort of guest account that allows people to log in and check email, maybe play a game, etc., but not have real access to files. Maybe even an account that clears itself out after each logout.

Is there anything like this or is it still fairly unsecure?

Thanks,
Jonathan

Kiosk mode maybe?

I agree that usually one uses a kiosk mode. It is possible to create some log on too of a user that has almost no access. A standard user even may have too much but it won't easily have access to other users /home unless some config issue.

There was one deal where a user booted to a vm/container of a squashfs that couldn't change between logon's.
