the idea is for the person
TO LEARN SOMETHING!!!

point the person in the right direction

point then to materiel to expand on the text book and lectures

but
DO NOT !!!! do the work for them !!!

if the person is INCAPABLE of doing a basic research , they need to drop back a few grades and learn a BASIC skill they are missing

(the internet is the biggest LIBRARY!!! every conceived of and search engines are the one of the BEST "card catalogs " there are )

now one of the issues that dose crop up a lot is
terminology
that is easily fixable -- point them in the right direction

I think if someone asks for help they should be helped. If they are getting answers and using them in their work then they suffer eventually and if the teacher/class is any good then the student's lack of understanding should be solved. The teacher should be able to recognize either through discernment or other means that the student needs help. I don't see how asking for help is considered cheating.

Is this the motto?
"The chastisements will continue until the questions are stopped."

That is backwards and this is all I'll say on this. Start another topic if you want to pursue this further out of respect for the OP.

Yes there was a case in the news when a student sued the college because she failed to graduate.

I think that's what we did in this case, and the OP seemed to be happy.
