the problem is the connection

i keep getting connection disconnected

when i called the internet provider he talked about the broadband connection and when i told him what about the linux?

you cant disconnect linux without it disconnecting the broadband and vice versa
he said it is because i have either a laptop or another computer connected to it
i do not nor have i ever owned a laptop or any other computer

he said i shouldnt have it considering i do not have any laptops or other computers
i could have someone connecting to my internet in the area
so it needs to come off

he tried to disable it several times
but when u disconnect linux it will disconnect my broadband
or vice versa
so he gave up and said just ignore it

linux disconnects and reconnects on its own accord
when linux disconnects on its own the broadband will stay on

i did not have linux b4

i do not know where it came from
i do not know what linux even is

i do know i have a modem fro my cable and internet
i have a router for my phone serice that runs off my internet

i hope this helps u to help me figure out if this is something to worry about or not
i dont understand why the rep for my isp would tell me its important to disconnect it and then tell me to ignore it when he couldnt help me

i also do not want to disconnet it if for some reason it is a update from winxp or something?

could it be that the Telephony Router is Linux Based?
What happens if you take the Telephony router out of the Mix?
What does the Telephony ISP say?

My question is, if you do not have Linux, where are you seeing a message that says Linux is connected and what is the message?
