Linux Cert and general Ques

I am interested in where i can find info so i can get some of the linux certs that are out there does nyone know where i can find some good stuff?
also I am wondering how exactly i do i configure an internal PCI (possibly ISA ??) modem or do i just need to get an external modem? also was wodering how and where do i come across drivers for linux most of my hard ware is by VIATechnoligies but am having a hardtime finding them also was wondering where i can find some general and some specific info about security for the Corel Distributions of linux
