So I was running Windows 10 on my PC in local drive C partition of the HDD. I installed Linux Mint 18 Cinnamon on the other partition (E of the same HDD using Rufus while I was still running my Windows OS.

So when I later rebooted, the Linux OS boot over the Windows OS (My assumption is that the Linux bootloader had booting sequence from the Windows bootloader) and I am stuck on this grey screen with a blinking cursor.

I wanted to boot with a DVD later on and realized that the BIOS does not open even when I press F2. I have also tried the ALT+F10 command when powering up but Acer erecovery management does not work.

I have tried every possible solution on most forums and none of them seem to work for me.

IF ANYONE could help me at all, that would be great...

Plug out the hard drive in your laptop, it should provide you an option to go the BIOS then set the necessary settings to boot to DVD.
