Linux boot up error

While Fedora core is loading it is coming to a screen that says failed to connect to LDAP server. Or failed to bind to it, i cant go any further. The kernal wont boot, however i can get to a command prompt. What file would i need to edit to connect to a LDAP server all the other boxes on the network startup fine it says the LDAP server it is trying to connect to is 192.168.1.1 and there is not a box with that ip or an LDAP server for that matter.

When i do get to the configuration file what would i use VI? to edit the file that is?

Ps. Well i got it to work wellnot really it just sat there and errored for about 20 25 mins so i iwll have to make sure no to reboot. But where is this configuration modified?

My guess would be that in /etc/nsswitch.conf LDAP is setup as a primary source. Though I haven't done much LDAP work, I don't remember where it is implemented. Take a look at the Fedora docs for passwd/shadow authentication, you'll want to be sure that shadow (or NIS, or however you do auth) is the first option.
