Question Linux "boot:" prompt


What are possible commands which can be executed at the Linux "boot:" prompt?

are you actually referring to grub boot loader? Although I don't recall "boot:", but never seen a Linux one either.


If it's from your grub boot loader, here's the manual - https://www.gnu.org/software/grub/manual/grub/grub.html

LILO and ELILO give prompts like that, especially when you aren't using a menu. You respond with the label of your chosen system.
