LINUX Beginner
 
Hi,

I am Rama. Have worked on Hp-UX priorly and want to learn more of LINUX now. More on the scripting side. Can please anyone tell me the main differences which is there between LINUX and different versions of UNIX.

As far as scripting goes, depends which lang you mean. As an example, you can usually find ksh & bash on most versions of Linux and on later versions of HP (I think ?).
Similarly, Perl is usually avail on both.

All posix commands are supposed to be the same. Some may have small variations and it may depend on the installed command that you need. If you know the unix commands you pretty much know linux.
