Linux based router
 
I need a router and file server for my own home network. Could you recommend any additional useful soft for it? (I use Linux debian)

So why don't you use your Debian System to act as a router and as a file server?

- So for file sharing useful for windows clients also for linux clients samba
or use nfs server
- router just buy a cheap switch or hub and use the routing within your debian
or buy a second network card.
- Visit this site and you have a great how to (doesn't matter if this is not debian)
