Linux Antivirus

I am in the process of setting up a corporate FTP server (VSftp) on Redhat Linux 9.0

Havent a clue where to start on Antivirus... What are the most widely used/highest reccomended packages available... Price is not a big issue..... frequency of definition updates is VERY important (small high security firm). Kaspersky? Others? I checked out the McAfee product and it blows.... plus no on demand scanning....

HELP!!!

You probably don't need one. Just be sure to keep programs like tripwire, network monitoring, and special alert stuff on so the system will tell you when it thinks its using to much memory or processor or something...

For political reason, we MUST implement something. Nor would anyone be available to monitor over the weekend (business doesnt want to pay for a cell phone or isp for me.... ok then, I WONT keep an eye on thing over the weekend.... sure - its just how they think). Anyhow... could you go into more detail on the network/services/logging? Keep in mind the box will be behind our (already restrictive) firewall, root will (obviously) not be logged on, and vsftp will run on a very underprivledged account..

Thanks!

is this a crazy thought, or could a any of our current antivirus software remotely scan the linux share (local drive letter mapping to smb share on redhat 9).... We have McAfee 7... enterprise running on Netware 5 servers and win 2k clients...
