skyline I am trying to do the same but that

/sbin/lilo is not running. I donno why.
I changed the lilo.conf.anaconda file as lilo.conf file
then I saved it and am trying to run it using
/sbin/lilo it isn't running.

Do you think this is a problem as the system is using
grub.conf instead of lilo.conf. I am not sure myself.
I installed this one so many times that I don't remember exactly whether I used lilo or grub for installation. Can you help me on that. How can I know which is the file my system is using.

If it is lilo then let me know what to do. I have already changed
boot = /dev/hda now how do I run /sbin/lilo

Thankyou very very much
Best regards
Chan

Can you post the contents of lilo.conf? - to get them

Open a command line Terminal

Then type:

su

<Press enter>

Then type your Root password

<Press enter>

then type

kedit /etc/lilo.conf

if kedit is not on RH8 then try

kwrite /etc/lilo.conf
