Linux and windows symlinks interchangeability
This question is about windows 7. I want the "C:\program Files" folder to be a symlink to a directory on another partition. I can't do this from within windows because it locked the Program Files Folder. Will a linux live CD do the trick?

I don't know if I'm correct, but a Unix symlink is part of the filesystem, while a Windows link is a file ending with extension .lnk containing a path to the file.
Also, Windows can't read most Linux filesystams. |
