The best way to start is to install a copy of Linux yourself (if you haven't done so already) and play around with it. To find out more about Linux (where to get it, and to find documentation), try Linux Online and The Linux Documentation Project.

Also, there are lots of different kinds of Linux administrators. There are system administrators, network administrators, and security administrators, just to name a few.
