It's part of the std install, so should already be there, unless you did some kind of Custom Install and told it not to.
BTW, it's usually avail under the alias of vi as well.

chrism01 is right, vim is already installed or you can also use "vi"

try "which vim" or "which vi".
you should be able to see that already installed.
