Is there any way of connecting to AOL using LINUX 7.1? I connected the Help Department at AOL and was informed that it is under Research and Development.

Does anyone have any idea how to connect to the internet using any ISP?

I'm sure that someone can tell you why AOL and Compuserve cannot be connected to from Linux in technical terms, but thay can't without software from there company. To connect to any other ISP you can use something like kppp, wvdial, gnome-ppp, or create your own dial-up scripts.

I didn't realise that AOL were actually considering porting their software to Linux, but this is a big boost for the OS if they do.

Smile Thanks

Thanks for your reply. I guess in the meantime, I will learn more about how to utilize the ports and make a script of my own.

Thanks again.
