linspire installation problems

I am by no means a computer "expert" and must be missing the big picture. I installed debian gnu/linux from a CD no problems. Now I am trying to install linspire using a CD which I burned from a download. Tried booting from the Linspire CD (I changed the BIOS to boot from CD first) but no luck.

Check the MD5SUM if the iso image you downloaded and compare it to the MD5SUM given on the dowload site -- to do so, in Linux, type 'md5sum <path to image>' (no quotes).
