I think it is trying to tell you that you don't have the GTK+ package installed on your machine and that whatever you are trying to do needs it. GTK is the Gnome Tool Kit and Linspire uses KDE and not Gnome, so it would make sense that you don't have GTK+ on your machine. You might try apt-get install GTK+ and see if that turns anything up for you.
it's no use trying to build a real linux-distro out of linspire without the use of CNR.
better try a free-distribution like.....eh, there are so many, look around on this forum.

Lol, I think you should have chosen better wording than "Real Linux Distro". Just because it doesn't include GTK+ or a compiler doesn't mean it isn't Linux. It uses the Linux kernel. Anyways, not that I care, I hate their products anyways.
Why are you disabling GTK2 and enabling GTK1? That makes no sense .... if you want to compile a GTK1 app you need to install gtk-devel/gtk-dev (i forget which one) *not* the GTK2 equivalents.
well, rm6990, i read that before and i guess you're right. The word ' real ' is a little
confusing. i think ' a complete Linux distro ' describes better what i wanted to say.
And when it comes to compiling programs, linspire is just not fit for the job,
and a ' complete ' distro is
