and it has linpus linux 9.2,
I have read that it doesn't have X(graphical user interface).

Is there manual for linpus linux?
I don't know how to use it.

Problem is that I can't test for example, sounds of computer. I don't know does computer work properly.

Thanks!

Linpus 9.3 has KDE, so it has X. What happens when you switch the laptop on? How far do you get? Does it ask for a password and can you get passed this?

All Linpuses have a GUI interface (currently KDE). According to the above link, there has been no update since Oct 2005.

If nothing came with the computer, then maybe thry the Acer or Linpus website.

The main feature of Linpus seems to be Chinese language support. If that is not crucial, then you might want to consider something more mainstream.

Thank you,
I'll start to learn this...

There is a way to get the computer to start grapically instead of in text. Perhaps pixellany or someone else can tell you how. I think it has to do with the runlevels.

Don't go on the Internet as "root" because this can be risky. Create a different user identity first.
