Linksys WUSB100 + Kubuntu 9.10 = Failure.

Here's the situation:
I've wanted to ditch Windows and try Linux for a while now, and finally built up the courage to do it. I connected to the Internet via wifi while on Windows, but it's quite different in Kubuntu. I would really appreciate a step-by-step guide to getting my computer online via this Linksys WUSB100, with my Kubuntu 9.10

Also, I have a laptop that has Windows and still can get online, in case I need to download something to make it work. Thank you so much If you are willing to help me!

It looks like this might be what you need. Kubuntu and Ubuntu are essentially the same thing.

I cannot seem to find the driver "RT2780USB". All the links on that site are dead for it. Is there some sort of way to pull it off the CD?

Okay, I found out why. Instead of what it says, it should read "RT2870USB".

A solid download link can be found here:
http://driverscollection.com/?file_c...2d482dbdc2a1de

Now I will try to install it and see what happens. Stay tuned...

Still no luck with the install. Can someone please help me, or advise a USB card that works right out of the box with Kubuntu 9.10? I have no connection to the internet with that computer except for wifi, which is what I'm using on my other computer, but on this one, I'm running XP.
