linksys printserver setup

Just installed Linux (Mandrake 9.1) on it's own box, I am now trying to get serious with it. My issue: I'm having a difficult time attempting to setup a networked printer. I have a Linksys (3 port) print server. I know the IP address and ports.

I tried finding something that resembles - "add a printer" - the best I came up with is in:
Start Applications
Configuration
KDE
Peripherals
Printers

At this point I'm lost.......... if the printer was local, it would probably have been detected (as the installation was very smooth - in all other respects). I've been reading for the last 3 hours anything I could find about Printers & installation (on google) but I'll be very honest - I have no idea what their talking about ??????

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I've been MS Windows for many years and I'm trying to quit!

Regards,
TomP

Ha ha, your post sounds like the musing of a chain smoker :D.

Since you're using KDE, try:

Start Applications (the 'K' on your taskbar)-->System Settings-->click Printing-->(enter your root password)

In printconf-gui, click New-->follow the 'Add a new print queue' wizard.

If you can't proceed through the wizard, come on back and ask some more questions.

Also, let me know if the instructions don't help at all, since you're using Mandy and I'm on RH.
