Nope...mainly because you've given NO details. Things like what hardware are you using this on? Version/distro of Linux? What problems/error(s) you had? When you had them? Just saying "No luck, any help?", gives us nothing.

Im not sure but I think its suppose to be a dongle.

jefro 09-15-2012 02:52 PM

Backtrack is a poor distro to test this on.

The example was ubuntu. Install that and see if the adapter works from the how to web page.

cjen1987 09-15-2012 02:55 PM

Well isn't it base off of ubuntu?

cjen1987 09-15-2012 02:59 PM

Sorry to double post.
But I just set up backtrack 5r3 with all my drivers/ music/ apps/ just need wifi to work.
Thats the main reason I don't want to start over. Plus I dont want to have to download all the cracking tools for ubuntu... unless its as easy as Backtrack is command wise.

Plus someone else got it working on backtrack 5r2

Sorry, but you'll find little help when you admit you want a system for "cracking tools". If the moderators allow this thread to continue, then someone may help you.

Also, when asked about your hardware and Linux, it's better to say something like "Dell xxxx, with Backtrack 5", rather than listing all sorts of things that aren't relevant to the issue.

Better?

Mostly just want internet on it and to test my routers protection.

Just go here:
http://z4cellforums.webs.com/apps/fo...rack-or-ubuntu

That will get you up and going.
