Question Link to terminal command

I'm running mandrake 9.2 in KDE. there are some terminal commands that I use often like #shutdown -h now, but I hate having to go into a terminal and having to type all that out just to shut down the computer. I tried making a link to application thingy and put the command in the command box but when I clicked on it, it didn't do anything. what am I doing wrong?

There should be an option in the properties for the link along the lines of 'Run in terminal'. Enable that and you should be OK.
