how a "Link" works
Im testing Slax and Just downloaded Firefox ... I have already installed it but Im having problem to put it in my bin folder...
I just want firefox to be called in the command line by the "firefox" command, I tryed make a link with ln to my /usr/bin folder but Im getting an error when I run the firefox command. |
please use a better title next time.. what does "link" mean?
and please tell us what the error actually IS... |
If I make a [red]#ln -s ~/firefox_installer/firefox.sh /usr/bin/firefox[/red] then when I try run firefox on the command line its like isnt exists...
if I make a [red]#ln ~/firefox.../firefox.sh /usr/bin/firefox[/red] then when I try to run firefox on the commmand line it returns an error saying that Its not possible to localizate some Lib and files but I can run the firefox.sh with no problem from the original path ... so Im thinking how can I make a link that works and that execute the file on its original directory [ ]´s |
