Limewire installed
Trying to install Limewire for Linux under Linux Mandrake 10. Tells me it cant find my java runtime environment. (Cant find it in the path)
I installed Java, run java applets under Mozilla no trouble. Any suggestions. Im a pro with Windows, but know jack-all about Linux, so dont speak too fast. LOL! |

lets say you install java to /home/pant/jdk1.3.1/
you need to go into the command line and type PATH=$PATH:/home/pant/jdk1.3.1/bin then type ./LimeWireLinux.bin or whatever the name of the bin file that limewire is. assuming that you downloaded limewire to your home directory. or if that confuses you, you should be able to copy your limewirelinux.bin to the BIN folder inside your java folder. then just change directory to your bin folder and type ./LimeWireLinux.bin and it should work. feel free to email me at tjracer66@charter.net if this does not work |
