lilo reinstall or update help
 

Anybody got any ideas on how to uninstall the lilo bootloader from the mbr?

I need to install the Mandrake 10.0 version and I really don't want to text edit and link the new images 'cos I've already tried and received a COUPLE of error messages about the kernel when I do so.

If reinstalling to the mbr is anything like in 9.2 I can put lilo in place but don't have a clue about taking it out.

When you install a MBR the new one overwrites the old one. So don't worry about the old one, just install your new one.

Jeez, coulda sworn I saw something about getting crosslinked and mismatched links to the boot images but now that I think about it you're definitely right - it's the MBR for god'd sake!

PS: Can you help me with my double negatives? And I also get the strangest urge to say "ain't" a lot and shoot old yeller.
